What is School-wide Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support?
School-wide PBIS is a set of strategies and systems to increase the capacity of schools to (a) reduce school disruption, and (b) educate all students to make positive decisions.
What are the major ideas behind PBIS?
· Build multiple systems of behavior support
· Invest in prevention
· Administrative and leadership commitment
· Team-based implementation
· Adapt procedures to "fit" the context
· Collect and use information for decision making
